Justin & Elijah were the techs that showed up to do my estimate, at the time specified. Justin’s de a quick assessment and delivered a lot of good info through the time. They provided an immediate estimate and were ready to get me on the schedule. This was all after calling High’s less than 24 hours ago for this appointment. Overall this felt very professional and easy to work with.

The team from High's Chimney Service was professional, clean and efficient. Justin and Elijah came to our house, inspected the chimney, provided detailed information about the state of our hardware, and made useful maintenance recommendations. They cleaned and inspected our fireplace and chimney in ~40 min, and did repairs to the top of the chimney on the same day in about ~50 min. We are very happy with their service and recommend them without hesitation.

Justin and Elijah were sent out to give an estimate for installing a gas log insert into a wood burning fireplace. I had no idea what it would take and cost. They provided the necessary and excellent information for me to make a decision. Justin was very personable and professional.

Both Justin and Eli were very professional and cleaned the chimney quickly. We needed extra work on a chimney and they took photos and explained the work well. Cleanup was great. We’ve worked with this company now over 10 years. They digitized and many of our older work records are not available to the technicians. My only recommendation is that the company should make sure their techs know what has already been done and who did it to facilitate a smooth visit. Justin had to call to learn that his company had done all the work on our chimneys and to understand what that included. The company should make sure the tech are properly informed for their work.

Matt and Tyrone came by to sweep our fireplace, they are the most polite and thorough technicians in the business. They treated my home like it was their own and made sure there was no dust anywhere after they performed the service. It’s a shame there are only 5 stars to give them!!

We used High's Chimney Service to service and clean an existing gas fireplace in our house. They were prompt, did an amazing job (we had no idea how hazy the glass had previously gotten - it looked brand new when they finished), and taught us a lot about our existing unit. Would definitely hire them again and recommend to our friends.

5-star service as always. High's installed my wood burning stove five years ago and did a great job with pretty complicated flue geometry. Since then, they've been my go-to for cleaning and service. They came out yesterday and did a very thorough inspection, gave some great advice about the condition of my stove, cleaned up perfectly, and were highly professional as always. One of the best home service contractors I've dealt with.

Called yesterday for an appointment and was able to get it for the following morning! Tyrone and Kevin inspected and cleaned my chimney. They arrived within the block of time and were very professional and polite. Tyrone explained why the 4 walls needed to be replaced along with the rusted cap. He showed me the picture of the rusted cap. He called and arranged for the next appointment. They also put a tarp down and cleaned the area before leaving. Justin and Elijah were here on 3/18 to check cracks on the new walls that were replaced two weeks ago. Both were very professional, friendly, and polite. They took pictures and communicated with their manager. Walls will be replaced next week!

I have been a High's Customer for years. Always reliable, and helpful. Today they came to in inspect our chimney after a fire. They were fast clean and polite. Most especially, they gave me good advice on how to avoid a chimney fire in the future.

In December 2020 Tyrone and Kevin did a wonderful job. They were prompt, courteous and thorough. They respected my property by wearing shoe covers and of course had on face masks. They cleaned the wood stove and did a wonderful job. They also identified the problem i was having and it will be resolved by the company. The technician called and said he was on the way and the company sent me a text message telling me the technician was on the way and sent his photo so I would be able to identify him upon arrival. I highly recommend them.

When we removed the fireplace doors (from the previous owner), we realized the hearth and chimney required repair (for 40 year old house) . We had three companies give us a quote - High's was the middle quote. I felt they professionally explained the problem. Once they began repairs, the technicians realized the damage was not as extensive (or expensive). I applaud High's for being honest that they did not have to perform the tasks that I had approved. The workers even cleaned up after themselves! I would recommend High's Chimney.

Have used High's for chimney and dryer vent services for many years, and Tyrone Slater in particular has been our technician several times now for both. He has been great: professional, efficient and courteous every time. Would definitely recommend working with these guys.

High's came out to do a cleaning and a video inspection of the liner. Tyrone took the time to show me the cracks and gaps in the old terracotta liner that had been created over time. Shortly after, we made arrangements to have a wood stove installed, which involved installing a new liner, cement chimey crown, and new stainless steel caps. We went with a modern MF Fire NOVA model woodstove (purchased seperatly) and, once it arrived, Tyrone was able to get everything scheduled right away. David and Shorty completed all of the work, inside and out, today. Tyrone called me while I was out buying wood to make sure the work was fully completed and that I was satisfied. I'm currently burning our first fire and really enjoying it.

Tyrone with High’s Chimney Service did a great job servicing our fireplace/ chimney today!! He educated me on everything he did prior to doing it and I could see with the camera they use to look at the chimney on his tablet everywhere the camera went and the condition of our FP. My experience with High's Chimney has been fantastic! The technician came within the time provided. He was very professional and knowledgeable. My fire place is 23 years old and stopped working. He cleaned it so well and left it working. I highly recommend this place.

Tyrone came out to my house in Poolesville and cleaned my dryer vent thoroughly. The previous team that came out somehow clogged it and my dryer fuse blew. He was a real professional and tested it to make sure it was blowing out well before he left . Also showed me all the debris that came out. Thanks so much.

I was impressed with the knowledge and thoroughness of the original inspection, led by Jeff Shear, which provided more detail and deeper explanation than I had received at two competing companies that did an inspection. The estimate was higher than the others because the scope of work was greater because they found a problem not only with my wood burning chimney but with the chimney for my water heater as well. Jeff worked with me to get my insurance to cover much of the cost, however, as the damage resulted from a chimney fire. This was a huge help. No one else mentioned this as an option. The men, led by Oslin, who did the work showed up on time and wore masks and finished on time. We had bad weather, but they just came back the following day. My chimney is now working very well.

Matt and his team were on time, polite, friendly and very professional. We got a basic cleaning and inspection. Matt was very clear in laying out the results of the inspection, the various options for addressing the issues, along with a written estimate. Everything was meticulously documented, and we received a full, detailed report via email. All told, very satisfied with this service.

Tyrone and assistant came today to do an estimate for my chimney. They were friendly and efficient and gave me honest and helpful information. High's was able to schedule me quickly and everyone was professional and helpful. I look forward to Tyrone returning to do my dryer vents and another crew for my chimney work.

Ask for Tyrone and Allen by name. We had High's in for a cleaning and inspection, on recommendations from two very critical friends, before we put our Olney home on the market. I can't compliment Tyrone and Allen enough on professionalism, friendliness and cleanliness during a very messy job (think Mary Poppins). We went from a gas back to wood years ago because our daughters needed the wood-fireplace experience and didn't expect much build-up because we aren't heavy users and burned hardwood. We didn't have much creosote but Tyrone's video inspection camera showed that a mortar joint in the flu was missing about 90 degrees of mortar and the smoke chamber is starting to flake. The video of the actual age-related wear was a better sales tool than any salesman. the goal wasn't to sleeve the chimney, but the new owners will have a safe place to roast hotdogs and marshmallows. The replacement crew is working as I thumb-type, and every bit as professional and respectful of property as Tyrone and Allen. By later this afternoon we'll have a new 11" stainless steel flu inside of our brick chimney to replace the 34-year-old failing terracotta original, ceramic-sprayed smoke chamber and new concrete top cap. Call High's if you're getting ready to sell or just haven't had a cleaning in a while.

Justin and Tyrone came to clean my dryer vent. they were very professional, friendly, and efficient. great guys and they installed a messed screen over my vent on the outside of my house at my request. I have had mice in the house recently and thought it best to block that as an entrance. Tyrone looked up and saw a large hole in the fascia of the house and this could be the entry place! The pest company completely missed this. I highly recommend High's Chimney Service!

I asked High's Chimney to return to do additional work on my chimney since they rebuilt the top of it several years ago. I was given an estimate that seemed pretty high to me for the work that was required, but was told that 'scaffolding is needed and the job will take a couple of days'. That made me feel better, that the work was worth it. Then the team showed up, determined they did NOT need to use scaffolding, and were done within about 4 hours. The craftsmanship appeared solid, but I couldn't help but feel like I was taken advantage of because the estimator quoted me unnecessary things, and I paid too much. I called the office a few days later, and while the person who answered the phone indicated that she would discuss it with the manager and get back to me in terms of what they might do to adjust the price, if possible. I have not heard back. I knew I should have gotten more than one estimate, but opted not to because High's had done good work for me in the past. Lesson learned.

I found High's chimney a few months ago when we needed our chimney repaired. They did a great job, Jerry was friendly and the chimney repair made the chimney look new. We needed it checked out again after some rain came inside. Justin saw the flashing was the issue and chose not to just caulk the weak area, but remove all of the caulking and replace it with a new bond. No extra charge since the chimney was so recently repaired. Refreshing to work with this breed of service people, who make it right and don't tack on extra fees.

The entire process was easy and efficient. From the first phone call through the service. Chip arrived right in the middle of the time span given. He explained everything that he would do during the inspection and then explained what he found. In all, I would definitely recommend them.

I had a Regency Ex90 Woodburning Fireplace installed by High's Chimney Service. The manager, Richard, gave me an excellent price that was $2,000 lower than their best competitor. Thank you very much! After 20 years, my gas fireplace went kaput - and I had no idea whom to call. After a computer search I found High's. I made an appointment with a two hour window (very convenient). Chip showed up on time and with a smile. He laid out a sheet to protect my rug and soon found the problem. High's called me later with an estimate of the part and it was ordered. Chip showed up again on time - and yes again with his signature smile. He did a great job cleaning the inside of the fireplace and replacing the new part. Great service and a good price!! I had them come and inspect a fireplace insert and chimney on a house we just moved into. They were right on time, friendly, gave me good advice, answered every question I had, and they even fixed the difficult door on the fireplace insert for free.

Chip was so nice first he call me to let me know there was a little traffic and gave an approximate time of arrival. when he arrive immediately started to work on my chimney. such a pleasant personality. I was so pleased with the service I received from this company. The fellows that came out to clean and inspect my chimney were so professional. They did a thorough job and left everything neat and tidy. I kept telling them they didn't need to put the booties on their shoes, but they insisted each and every time they came in. The inspection was thorough with pictures, including drone imagines that have been emailed. The office staff was so nice on the phone and kept me posted of the ETA and a picture of the technician. Dear Mr. Mike Pinto, We want to recognize Valentin (Lead), Leonel and Juan for the excellent service that they afforded us while providing extensive servicing to our fireplace on 14 November 2019. The work included relay of new cement crown, installation of liner and associated adapters, removal of a 31-year-old wood insert and installation of a new one. Everything was done with impeccable courtesy and service and upmost care of property while moving such heavy pieces of equipment. Our wonderful experience started the moment we called your office for the first time, as your office Administrative Assistant, Ms. Kira Claggett, treated us with respect and friendliness. She has been very informative, accommodating and I cannot praise her enough. This level of attention and commitment to customer service and satisfaction without any appearance of financial interest really meant a lot to us. There are two things that I would like for you to take from this review, and they are that every organization is a reflection of their employees and you are commended to have professionals of such caliber and human qualities. Also, as we searched other companies to do the work, we can tell that you value and care for your people because of the way that you properly train your employees and because how they feel about you.

Technician Chip came out and cleaned/prepped two Heat n Glow gas fireplaces for. Highly professional service and very knowledgeable tech. Gave me some tips on how to avoid spot and the name of a good glass cleaner for these ceramic glass screens: Perkins GFS cleaner.

Exceptional response and service. The first two companies I contacted either weren't accepting new customers or couldn't service our chimney until January. High's was able to come out within 72 hours of my initial call. I scheduled a basic inspection but the technician upgraded my service at no charge after taking one look. He showed me, via camera, the damage to my existing chimney and provided a quote, same-day, for repair. After shopping prices, I confirmed High's was offering me a great value for the work needed. The central office service team was able to get the work scheduled quickly and efficiently. Work took approximately 6 hours with the team taking care not to damage our hardwood floors nor spread dust throughout the house. Quality was impeccable and the fireplace now drafts better than any I've ever used.

Highs Chimney Service gave courteous and professional help. The inspector who came first was thorough and explained everything and exactly how repairs would be done. Technicians arrived promptly and kept work area completely clean. Cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend their work.

We liked them very much. From the first visit we were impressed by their knowledge, flexibility and respect to their clients. The insert was installed two days after we signed the contract. The people who actually installed the gas insert did it quick and very neatly. It feels like the insert was always here.

Absolutely outstanding service. The first week I had a chimney cleaning (I have a very large and heavy (cast iron) wood burning insert)...Their service was fast, efficient, thorough and very clean (their concern for the customer's property was obvious). The second week included the insertion and connecting of a liner to the insert. Once again, the service was top notch and the service crew was polite and very efficient. What really impressed me was that prior to leaving, the crew chief asked if he could use the rest room. During the service they placed tarps down over our entry way and carpet to avoid walking on the carpet with their shoes. Now, however, the carpet was exposed, and on his own (noticing the shoes lined up at the front closet and the fact that I was in stocking feet), he determined that we take our shoes off in the house and so he untied and removed his work boots in order to use the rest room. A little thing that kind of said it all! Plus my son used their service to clean a three flue chimney and recap same. He was very happy with their work. And lastly, what actually got my attention to this company was the work that they did on my neighbor's chimney. It not only included cleaning with liner installation, but re-bricking about two thirds of the chimney...Their masonry work is top notch as well. Add to that, their office staff is extremely friendly and also efficient, and you have what I would call a "Go-To" company for ANY chimney and fireplace needs. Most HIGHLY recommended! Mike Z. Justin and Tyrone completed a dry cleaning service for us on 10/19/19. We have used High's for Chimney for substantial chimney work 2 times before but never for Dryer Vent Cleaning. Justin and Tyrone were excellent and worked to make sure all of the venting was reassembled properly so dryer functioned well. They were professional and kind to us. Our vent was very backed up and now clothes are drying very quickly. Thank guys!

Our chimney cap, originally installed by High's as part of a chimney rebuild 9 years ago, was blown off during a storm. High's technicians Jerry and Derrick assessed the damage, determined that a new cap would be needed, and handled the installation. They were knowledgeable, personable and efficient in their work. David Morales and his assistant arrived on time and spent the entire day repairing a leaking furnace flue, and repointing and recapping my brick chimney. The work was on August 8, 2019, and it was HOT up on that roof all day, but they soldiered thru and did an excellent job. They answered all my questions, and cleaned up the site before departing. They are hard workers, unbelievable in this day in age! I highly recommend this company!!!!

I've had bad luck with all kinds of contractors that don't show up and do shoddy jobs, but High's Chimney was NOT one of them. Justin was great when he explained all the work that needed to be done (new chimney liners), and David came on-time both days for the two day job - even let me know when he'd be a few minutes late. Our family recommends highs chimney service. We were having water damage in our ceiling when it rained. Justin and victor came to our house, they assessed the chimney and found multiple points where water was entering our home. They took very good pictures so we could see the extent of the damage. They wrote us a estimate for the best solution to fix the problem. David and his crew came to do the work and rebuild our chimney. They were very professional , the masonry work was excellent. And they cleaned very well before they left and gave us before and after photos. They fixed the problem and stopped the water entry and we have a brand new chimney. 5 stars for highs chimney.

Gene and Victor did an excellent job of cleaning my chimney and recommending needed work to resign the chimney and clean and repair the smoke chamber. Gene also gave good advice on how to build fires to minimize the accumulation of creosote. They were clean and left the house in good order. I will need to do additional work in a week, and will have to wait to evaluate the work.

They arrived on time and completed the tear out and repair. They took before and after pictures for me to keep on file. They were very personable people and all their work is guaranteed. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

So Gene and Victor were GREAT!!! I had another company come out the 1st time and they took a month to send me my estimate and then the estimates weren’t clear!!!! That didn’t happen with Gene! He explained everything patiently and clearly. He also had my estimate ready by the time he left and the prices were very reasonable!!! Needless to say, Gene is going to be the one I work with.

I was very pleased with Rene and Guillmero who came to fix a crack in the cement floor of the fireplace. They arrived within the scheduled time, were very professional and efficient. I would be happy to have them back for any chimney/fireplace work.

High's Chimney installed a flue liner for my wood burning stove. The person who provided the bid was patient and answered my questions. The work team was friendly and took care to protect the carpet in the area that they worked.

I have been cold for 2 winters my old wood stove sucked. Highs came out on time, kept my house clean, they had a cloth walk way they put down, they cleaned every area and my stove prior to leaving, explained everything to me, answered all my questions, also stopped and said hi and bye to my doggy which is also part of our family. I am a complete neat freak and even I was happy with there cleanliness which is very rare for me, they also have kept in touch to make sure I am happy. anyways I could go on for hours I would recommend stove and company to anyone. I am toasty warm for once and its easy to keep lite over night and while I am at work this is our soul heat except space heaters in the bedrooms which are working a lot less also now. very very happy
